Lavrov and Cavusoglu discussed the creation of zones of de-escalation in Syria
MOSCOW, August 6 — RIA Novosti. The foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey Sergei Lavrov and Cavusoglu discussed during the meeting on Sunday the establishment of zones of de-escalation in Syria and the cessation of hostilities in the country, reports the Russian foreign Ministry.
“The Ministers discussed the situation in Syria, including in the context of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of a de-escalation in Syria, the strengthening of the cessation of hostilities in that country and facilitating the process of political settlement. Certain issues of Russian-Turkish relations”, — stated in the message published on the website of the foreign Ministry.
The meeting of Lavrov and Cavusoglu was held in Manila, where the Ministers arrived to participate in the activities of ASEAN.
