The parliamentary opposition factions KPRF, LDPR and “Fair Russia” (SRS) made a proposal to the Kremlin to hold a party reform and reduce the number of “fake parties”, writes the newspaper “Izvestia”.

“Their initiative, the members expressed at the meeting of the working group on amendments to the electoral legislation at the presidential administration”, – says the publication.

The leader of the Communist party Gennady Zyuganov said that to reduce the number of parties is necessary because of the emergence of a large number of spoilers in the elections of different levels.

“We look at this subject with the administration of the President was discussed. They understand that today almost anyone can create a party. It seems to me that the group for changes in the election legislation working today at AP, will definitely deal with this issue” – said Zyuganov.

In turn, Chairman of “Fair Russia” Sergei Mironov said that the SRS also submitted its proposals to the presidential administration.

While the liberal Democrats propose to set a minimum number of deputies in local and regional legislative authorities, as well as to introduce a minimum for the party the threshold of 100 thousand members.
