The Ministry of justice of the United States resumed its investigation into possible discrimination against students of Asian origin in the admission to Harvard University. It happened two years after the receipt of the complaint, reports NBC News.

A group of 64 associations of Asian Americans contacted in 2015 to the ministries of justice and education USA with the complaint. In particular, they accused the administration of Harvard of discrimination against the entrants in this race.

According to the American TV channel, the administration of former U.S. President Barak Obama postponed the investigation of this case.

It is noted that a similar complaint was filed against a number of other American universities, including Yale and brown universities and Dartmouth College.

Harvard University in its turn published statistics on the admission of applicants this year. According to the document received 50.9 percent were members of ethnic minorities, reports RIA Novosti. The share of Asian Americans is 22.2 percent.
