The ECHR has ruled that Russia is to expel the detained journalist of “Novaya Gazeta”

The European court of human rights (ECtHR) has applied urgent measures to ban travel journalist “New newspaper” Hudaberdi Nurmatov (alias Ali Feruz). About this “Interfax” the lawyer told the reporter Kirill Koroteev.

“Today, the European court applied rule 39 of our appeal, prohibiting any movement Ali Feruz to his complaint to the ECHR. In its response, the court asked us to send complete application form until September”, — said Koroteev. He added that rule 39 is often the basis for granting asylum.

August 2, Basmanny court of Moscow has accepted the decision on deportation of a citizen of Uzbekistan Hudaberdi Nurmatov. He was found guilty under article “Infringement by the foreign citizen or the person without citizenship of rules of entrance to the Russian Federation or the regime of stay (residence)”. Also the journalist appointed to an administrative fine of five thousand rubles.

The correspondent of “Novaya Gazeta” was detained August 1, next to the editorial staff, and then under the pretext of identification was taken to the police station.

Feruz left Uzbekistan in 2008. According to the journalist, where he tried to recruit intelligence agencies and tortured. He has requested temporary asylum in Russia, but he refused. The journalist filed an appeal against this decision.
