McCain responded to Trump’s accusations against Congress in undermining relations between the US and Russia

WASHINGTON, August 3. /TASS/. The Republican Senator from Arizona John McCain on Thursday expressed disagreement with the words of the President of the United States Donald trump on the responsibility of the us Congress for the deterioration of relations with Russia.

In the morning trump on his Twitter page wrote that relations between Washington and Moscow “are on an unprecedented and very dangerous low level.” “You can thank Congress, the same people who can’t even give us medical insurance”, — he said.

McCain in his microblog only agreed with the first statement about trump’s “dangerously low level”.

“You can thank [Russian President Vladimir] Putin for the attack on our democracy, the invasion of neighbors and threats against our allies,” argued the Senator.

On Wednesday, trump had signed previously approved by Congress a law to toughen the sanctions regime against Russia, Iran and North Korea. He called the document flawed, as some of its provisions violate the Constitution of the country. At the same time the American leader expressed hope that cooperation with Moscow.
