Nebesa and Hayley have agreed to improve coordination in the UN security Council

Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia and his American colleague, Nikki Haley agreed to improve coordination in the UN Security Council, including in the fight against terrorism and respond to the situation around North Korea, Syria and Yemen. This was announced on Wednesday at the permanent representation of the Russian Federation in the first meeting between the two diplomats.

As informed the press Secretary of the Russian Embassy Fyodor Strzygowski, nebesa and Haley “we also agreed to improve coordination at the site of the UN security Council, including in such matters as combating terrorism, the situation in North Korea, Syria, Yemen, Libya and other countries.” “Both sides have expressed hope to strengthen cooperation between the two delegations, who are permanent members of the security Council, despite the difficult moment in the history of bilateral relations,” he said.
