The new permanent representative to the UN told about the first meeting with his American counterpart
Vasily Nebenzia and Nikki Haley “exchanged few words” meet later “for a substantive conversation.”

Permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia on Tuesday held the first meeting with his American counterpart, Nikki Haley, after discussing with her the programme of work of the Security Council in August. As stated by the Russian diplomat journalists in the coming days he plans to spend time with her “substantive conversation”.
“We met this morning. We will meet more often in the coming days, weeks, years and so forth,” — said Nebenzia.
According to him, during the discussion on Tuesday discussed the work of the security Council under the chairmanship of Egypt in August.
“We exchanged a few words and I’ll meet you later for a substantive conversation,” he added.
Vassily Nebenzia, who worked in the permanent mission of the Russian Federation in 1990-e years, did not share with reporters some of the special experiences after his return.

Nebesa was appointed permanent representative to the UN last week. On July 28 he conducted the first meeting with Secretary General of the world organization of antónio Guterres, gave him copies of his credentials. Then in an interview with TASS he said that the challenges facing Russia in the UN. According to him, Russia will work to ensure that the organization has become a tool for solution of numerous and unprecedented global crises.
