Franz Klintsevich

Any pressure on Moscow in order to affect its relations with Kiev counter-productive, said Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Frants Klintsevich. His words leads RIA Novosti on Monday, July 31.

“[US President] Donald Trump during the six months of being in the White house it is time to understand that Russia’s foreign policy in General and towards Ukraine in particular is a quantity absolutely not exposed to the outside. It is determined by the President of the country, which comes exclusively from its interests”, — said Russian Senator.

On the eve Vice-President Mike Pence declared that Washington hopes to change the behavior of Russia in Ukraine. He also noted that trump will soon sign a bill on anti-Russian sanctions adopted by Congress.

July 28, the Russian foreign Ministry has announced that from 1 August the staff of the American Embassy in Moscow will not be able to use the dacha in Serebryany Bor, as well as warehouses on Road street in the capital. In addition, it is demanded to reduce the number of employees of the us diplomatic mission to 455 people.

Moscow’s counter-sanctions were a response to a bill toughening anti-Russian sanctions adopted by the U.S. Senate but not yet signed by the President. The document introduces restrictions for companies including the oil and gas sector.

Kiev has repeatedly accused Moscow of meddling in Ukraine’s Affairs. Russia similar statements consistently rejects.
