Putin approved the introduction of resort fees in four regions of Russia

President Vladimir Putin signed the Federal law “On conducting experiment on the development of a resort infrastructure” that could affect the Crimea, Kuban, Stavropol and Altai Krai, reported on the Kremlin website.

Experiment on the introduction of resort gathering will be held from 1 may 2018 to 31 December 2022.

According to the document, the fee may be established by the region, however, may not exceed 100 rubles per night.

The aim of the collection is to Finance the “design, construction, reconstruction, maintenance, improvement and repair of objects of a resort infrastructure”.

The document stresses that the collection “in 2018 may not exceed 50 rubles.” “The resort fee shall be credited to the budget of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation on the territory of which it was paid,” — said in the text of the document.

This initiative was spelled out in the second version of the law adopted on 14 July and the decision not to bring the resort collection to the private sector. The final version of the law the state Duma adopted on 19 July in the third reading.
