Putin discussed with the security Council of the Syrian settlement and relations with the United States

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin held operational meeting with permanent members of security Council of Russia, said the press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov. His words RIA Novosti reported on Friday, July 28.

“Was the discussion of topical issues of social and economic domestic Russian agenda, exchanged views on ongoing work on creation of zones of de-escalation in Syria. Were also discussed some aspects of bilateral relations between Russia and the USA”, — said the representative of the Kremlin.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko, head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, the interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, FSB chief Alexander Bortnikov, SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin, special representative of the President Sergey Ivanov.

On the eve Peskov said that the Kremlin positively assess the situation in areas of de-escalation in Syria. According to him, work should continue in two areas.

The last time the head of state met with members of the security Council on 3 July. Then also touched on international issues, in particular, the issues of the Syrian settlement.
