Iran accused the U.S. Navy of provocation in the Persian Gulf

The Iranian military has accused the United States Navy in the second week of provocation in the Persian Gulf. The statement of the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps, the Agency Mehr on Saturday, July 29.

“After just a few days after the provocation in the North of the Persian Gulf, when US Navy ships fired warning shots in the direction of the Iranian ship, the us aircraft carrier again did the same steps already in the middle of the Bay,” — said the press service of the IRGC.

The incident occurred July 28, when the aircraft carrier class Nimitz and the accompanying warship was made warning shots in the direction of the Iranian missile boats patrolling the area of the Gulf near the oil platform Resalat. Iranian sailors did not respond to the fire.

Earlier in the IRGC complained about similar actions by the American military ships on July 25. The Iranian side has called the incident a provocation and a model of incompetence.
