The head of the foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate Bob Corker said that the members of the upper house of Congress reached an agreement regarding the adoption of the bill on new sanctions against Russia. The words of the policy reports Reuters.

The adoption of the Corker, the Senate could approve the document this week, despite the objections of the presidential administration of Donald trump.

The house of representatives of the United States Congress on July 26 passed a bill providing for the introduction of new restrictions. The document, called “the Law on counteraction to enemies of America by sanctions” must be approved by the Senate, and then get on the President’s Desk.

The White house noted that despite strong support for sanctions against Moscow, the Administration hopes to include in the bill additional changes. In turn, the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin told Congress that his Department is responsible for sanctions policy, intended to apply restrictive measures against Russia, Iran and North Korea to the maximum extent possible, “superaggressive”.
