How the Chinese manage to get around bans on the Internet

Russian Federation Council approved laws banning anonymizers, VPNs and Tor, as well as on the regulation of messengers. Laws were passed almost unanimously.

Now the Chinese, especially the young, have the opportunity to travel the world and learn English. So many people began to read foreign websites, including news.

The Chinese travel abroad, they meet with foreigners, and I see that in other countries — for example, in the United States — access to media is much more open. There are, for example, can access “Facebook”, which in China is unavailable.

While abroad, they learn about VPN (virtual private networks), chatting with expats who go to China, collect information, for example, Chinese students on how to circumvent the “Great Chinese firewall” to get to “Facebook” or “Twitter”, learning to use these services. Most of the information they get from other people, in private conversations.

Some time ago, for example, use a VPN that Chinese censors did not see. It can be found in the Chinese version of Google and easy to download. But the censors, of course, constantly monitor such services and block them.

However, as soon as you find them and block, then there are others, because constantly working on it to special groups. Most of them are abroad, many help of the US government.

These technologies work like a conveyor belt: to replace one of the VPN, found, comes another.
