In Russia arrested in absentia Ukrainian military Prosecutor

MOSCOW, 23 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Prosecutor and the investigator of the Chief military Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko and Vadim Primacom arrested in absentia on charges of illegal criminal prosecution of Admiral Alexander Vitko, said the official representative SK the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.

According to her, at the moment a criminal case against officials of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine, in which are discernible signs of a crime under article “attraction obviously innocent to criminal liability or unlawful institution of criminal proceedings”.

“According to investigators, in 2014, the former acting General Prosecutor of Ukraine Oleg Makhnitsky, his first Deputy, Mykola Holomsha, investigator Chief military Prosecutor’s office Vadim Primack, Prosecutor of Department of the Main military Prosecutor’s office Ruslan Kravchenko and other employees of the Prosecutor’s office organized a knowingly unlawful criminal prosecution of a citizen of Russia, Admiral Alexander Vitko, for political reasons,” — said Petrenko.

In particular, according to her, Machnicki and Golomsha gave illegal instructions on conducting pre-trial investigation, Primack led its production, and Kravchenko oversight of procedural activities.

“At the request of the investigator of GSU SK of Russia Basmanny district court against Kravchenko and Priimachuk in absentia preventive measure in the form of detention”, she said, noting that previously, a similar measure of restraint in absentia was elected in respect of Makhnytskiy and Golomsha.

The criminal investigation continues, said Petrenko.
