A rating of Makron fell by 10 percentage points in a month

Emmanuel Macron

The rating of the President of France Emmanuel Makron a month had lost 10 percentage points and is 54 percent. Such data are cited by the Journal du Dimanche, citing a survey of Ifop center.

As noted, this is the strongest decrease of public confidence in the President after three months in power, not counting the loss of 15 points from Jacques Chirac in may-July 1995.

The publication notes that such dynamics is caused by problems with the adoption of the military budget, concerns related to reforms of pensions, labour law, taxation.

The rating of Makron is still at a high level, when compared with the predecessors. In September 1981, Francois Mitterrand rating is at 48 percent, Francois Hollande — 56 percent in July of 2012, and only Nicolas Sarkozy indicator is much better — 66 percent in July 2007.

May 7, France was the second round of presidential elections. Makron got 66.1 percent of the votes, while his rival, the representative of the “National front” marine Le Pen — 33.9 percent.

According to the results of the June parliamentary elections, the party of Emmanuel Macron “Go Republic!” won. Its representatives have received 308 out of 577 seats in the lower house of the French Parliament.
