The Greek authorities reported killed in the earthquake

The earthquake in the Aegean sea, killing at least two people, Reuters reports.

About the deaths of two residents of KOs said Giorgos Kiritsis, the mayor of the same city. Injured more than 100 people in the collapse of an old building, reports Associated Press.

In neighbouring Turkey, about 70 residents of Bodrum went to the hospital, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the channel NTV.

The victims received injuries when falling, leaving the house after the beginning of the earthquake, some of them in a panic jumped out of Windows, having fractures, bruises and cuts. Serious injuries no one.

The earthquake occurred in the night of Friday, July 21. According to the U.S. Geological survey, its epicenter was 10.3 kilometers South from the resort of Bodrum, the center lies at a depth of 10 kilometers. The earthquake caused a small tsunami, its magnitude was about 25 centimeters.

Tremors were felt all along the Turkish coast of the Aegean sea, but it was the most powerful in the area of Bodrum and Datca, Mugla province.

According to preliminary data of the Consulate General, tourists from Russia during the earthquake were not injured.

Authorities recommended residents not to return until home because of the risk of aftershocks, which are still ongoing.
