South Korea proposed North Korea to hold talks between military representatives

TOKYO, 21 Aug — RIA Novosti, Yekaterina Plyasunova. South Korea again urged North Korea to accept its proposal to hold talks between military representatives to reduce tensions on the Korean Peninsula; the last sentence of Seoul, Pyongyang gave no response.

“The Ministry of national defense again urged the DPRK to respond positively to our proposal as soon as possible”, — quotes Agency Renhap a statement by the representative of South Korean military Department, mun sang-Kyung.

The first proposal of South Korea to the DPRK to hold this week talks of the military representatives to reduce tensions on the Korean Peninsula and to resume the dialogue between the red cross societies was made on Monday. Talks defense agencies are proposed to take place on July 21st, and representatives of the red cross — August 1. The official answer of the DPRK and has not followed. Only on the eve of the Central North Korean newspaper “Rodong Sinmun” published an article which asserted that a prerequisite for improving relations between the two Koreas is the refusal of Seoul from the policy of sanctions against Pyongyang.
