Those caught in the doping of athletes will be deprived of scholarships of the President of Russia

Athletes and also coaches and other professionals who have been convicted of doping, lose the right to receive scholarships of the President of Russia. This is stated in the new presidential decree published on the Kremlin website.

According to the document, any athlete or coach whose anti-doping rule violation is accepted, not eligible to receive this scholarship.

The scholarship violators of anti-doping rules shall be terminated from the month following that in which they were found guilty of anti-doping organizations, and announced the sanctions in their direction. The data violators will not be eligible for a scholarship within two years after the end of sanctions against them.

Independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) under the leadership of canadian Richard McLaren from July to December 2016, issued a report in several parts about doping in Russian sports. Mostly it was about the existence in Russia of the state program of support doping, but also about the systematic use of illicit drugs by some athletes. After the publication of the materials a number of Russian athletes were suspended from participation in international competitions. Moscow denied the allegations, was created a special Commission to investigate.
