The Washington Post has named the UAE the organizer of the attacks on the Qatari media

Hacking news Agency of the government of Qatar and social networking sites, where at the end of may was published false quotes of the scandalous nature attributed to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin TA’mim al-Thani and has given rise to conflict with its neighbors, was organized by UAE. This writes The Washington Post, citing sources in the US intelligence community.

As reported, after analysis of the information collected by American intelligence agencies, confirmed that on may 23, senior representatives of the UAE government discussed the plan of the operation and its implementation. This remains unclear themselves whether the UAE has implemented a hacker attack, or hired another party to perform them.

False reports said that the Emir, in particular, called Iran the “Islamic force” and praised Hamas. Referring to these comments, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt immediately banned all Qatari media. Then they broke off relations with Qatar, and announced trade and diplomatic boycott.

UAE in the person of Ambassador in Washington, Youssef al-Otaibi denied his involvement and reiterated earlier accusations against Qatar.

Qatar has repeatedly stated that his sites were hacked, but did not publish the results of its investigation.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE June 5, announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing Doha of destabilizing the political situation in the Arab States and supporting terrorism. Later also joined the boycott Yemen, Libya, Maldives, Mauritius, Mauritania, Comoros. The government of Qatar, all deny the charges and call the isolation an infringement upon the sovereignty of the Emirate.
