The newspaper learned of the planned demolition of one and a half thousand Moscow Khrushchev

The Moscow program of demolition of five-story building may extend another 1.5 or 1.6 thousands of homes. On 16 July the newspaper “Vedomosti”, citing sources at city hall.

Interlocutors of the edition noted that the results of voting of inhabitants of houses on their inclusion in a program of renovation has not been announced yet, the mayor’s office continue to verify the survey protocols and to verify their authenticity.

The list of buildings participating in the program, was recorded at the signing of the law on the renovation of President of Russia Vladimir Putin and was 4546 houses. However, as writes the edition, the Moscow authorities are planning to add five-story building, where residents will hold a General meeting of owners (OSS) and send minutes of meetings to the Council no later than July 20.

It is noted that the greatest number of people wishing to be added to the program in the New Moscow, a decision it took the residents of 199 homes. About this “Vedomosti” said the head of Department of development of new territories Vladimir Zhidkin.

The law on the renovation was signed by the President on 1 July. The document envisages the demolition of several thousands of five-storey Khrushchev, whose residents voted for the move. In their place will be built new residential neighborhoods.

Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin assured that the renovation will lead to a decrease in property prices in the capital. The need for wholesale restructuring, he explained not only the decay and deterioration of housing stock, but also the fact that in the city there are too few new homes.
