MOSCOW, 17 Jul — RIA Novosti. In the Kremlin consider unacceptable the extension of Washington any conditions for the return of Russian departmenet in the United States, the dialogue on this issue is at the level of the foreign ministries of the two countries, said the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
Earlier, a senior official in the White house told RIA Novosti that the US does not intend to return of diplomatic property of Russia, access to which was blocked during the administration of former President Barack Obama, without getting “something in return”.
“We have already noted that we consider it totally unacceptable for some qualification of the return of departmenti. We believe that it should be returned without any conditions, without any conversations. Because, de facto and de jure happens, is absolutely in violation of international law,” Peskov told journalists, commenting on the American side.
“Contacts are taking place between the foreign ministries. The Kremlin, of course, as such, does not participate. Although, you know, this issue was also raised by President (Vladimir) Putin during the meeting with the President (Donald) trump in Hamburg,” — said Peskov.
The administration of U.S. President Barack Obama at the end of December 2016, passed a package of anti-Russian sanctions because of alleged “interference in election” and “pressure on American diplomats” working in Russia. Among other things, the United States has closed access to the two residential complexes, the so — called suburban “summer cottages” Russia’s permanent mission in new York and the Russian Embassy in Washington, which is the Russian diplomatic property.
