In the production and sale of counterfeit criminals used the world-famous trademark (which is not reported), reported the official representative of the Ministry Irina Wolf. In the office and the apartments of the detainees, the police found more than a hundred vials with Botox. All the goods were seized.
Against seven members of the group aged 30 to 55 years, a criminal case under article 180 of the criminal code (“Illegal use of means of individualization of goods”). According to the interior Ministry, the sale of counterfeit goods, these people managed to earn more than 10 million rubles.
Earlier, the head of industry and trade Denis Manturov said that the volume of counterfeit goods in Russia in some sectors reaches almost a third of the total market. He noted that it was causing very serious damage to the economy, causing a shortfall of budget revenues and harms the health and lives of Russian citizens. Later, the researchers from the Higher school of Economics found that in retail trade the sales of illegal products is about 9 percent, which equates to 2.5 trillion rubles.
