Valery Gergiev presented the prizes to the winners of the “Big”

In the Serbian Drvengrad ended the fifth festival of Russian music “Great”, said the correspondent of”.ru” from Serbia.

The event was attended by 21 young musician from Serbia, and the Russian cities of St. Petersburg, Orenburg, Tyumen and others. First prize — “the Golden doll” — in the older age group (18-25) Serbian quintet Accordeus handed the artistic Director of the Mariinsky theatre conductor Valery Gergiev, especially for this arrived in Drvengrad. Silver and bronze awards also went to young Serbian musicians.

In the youngest age category (13-17 years) the first prize of the festival was given to a young pianist from St. Petersburg Svetlana Zvereva, and “Bronze doll” — soprano from Omsk Violetta Cabaeva.

The festival of Russian music “Large” under the direction of Emir Kusturica, which is supported by the company “Gazprom Neft”, carried out in 2013 in the village of Drvengrad, built by film Director (the national Park “Mokra Gora”, Serbia). At the event in different years were well-known Russian and Serbian musicians as Denis Matsuev, Yuri Rozum, Nemanja Radulovic, Alena Baeva, Milijana Nikolic, Roman Simovic. The fifth festival of “Big” opened on 13 July 2017.

Valery Gergiev — Soviet and Russian conductor, artistic Director and General Director of the Mariinsky theatre, principal conductor of the Munich Philharmonic orchestra. People’s artist of the Russian Federation (1996), Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation (2013). Laureate of the State prize of the Russian Federation (1993, 1998, 2016) and the RF Government prize (2015).

Emir Kusturica is a Yugoslav and Serbian film Director. Twice received the “Golden palm” at the Cannes festival (for the film “Daddy business trip” and “Underground”). Chevalier of the Legion of honour and the Russian order of Friendship. In 2016, the screens released film titled “the milky way”, in which the main role was played by actress Monica Bellucci.
