“Mimosa, hostilis” got into the list of narcotic substances in Russia

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a government resolution extending the list subject to control in the Russian Federation of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors. The list published on Saturday, July 15, on the official website of the Cabinet.

Under the ban hit plant Mimosa, hostilis and substance “Benzyliden”, “Detoxication”, “Furylmethanol” and others. Just added to the list of 12 new positions. A draft decree was prepared by the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia in the framework of the program “Combating drug trafficking”.

Explained that dried part of the Mimosa, hostilis that contain the psychoactive drug dimethyltryptamine, and its seeds are actively distributed on the Internet. In addition, it is noted that in Russia cases of substance use from the trade name U-47700-related poisoning deaths. These substances are already banned in several European countries.

Hostilis, Mimosa (Mimosa Hostilis, jurema beach) is a species of perennial evergreen trees or shrubs of the genus Mimosa. It grows in South America.
