Alexei Alexandrov

The first Deputy head of the Federation Council Committee on constitutional legislation and state construction Alexei Alexandrov commented on the Agency Regions.ru the news about the decision of deputies of Krasnoyarsk to double his salary. According to the Senator, the MPs should earn more than teachers or doctors.

“Because his [the Deputy’s] work are more responsible and require a higher qualification. From its performance depends on the position of a doctor, teacher, and patient and student” — said the politician.

Aleksandrov complained that it’s hard for him to talk about the problem of the gap between salaries. “My favorite topic — why teachers, doctors pay so little, 3-4 times less than MPs? Well, let’s MPs do not pay! Why would the MP machine? — let walk. Why the Deputy job? — let him write on the stump, like Lenin,” said he, adding that “this is all empty talk” and that this approach is wrong.
