Moscow Institute of television Ostankino deprived of the state accreditation

Rosobrnadzor deprived of state accreditation of the Moscow Institute of television and broadcasting “Ostankino” (MITRO), reported by REN TV in a press-Department service.

The decision taken on re-examination and due to the fact that the University has not eliminated previously identified violations.

The administration of the UNIVERSITY is now obliged to transfer the students — with their consent — either for other programmes, accredited or in another University with the same course, form, and cost of education.

The institution will continue to train students, but they will not get a reprieve from the army and state diplomas.

The certificate on the state accreditation confirms the compliance of University Federal educational standards.

On 7 July, the service has adopted sanctions against five universities of audit: the branch of Kazan Federal University in Naberezhnye Chelny, Voronezh branch of Moscow humanitarian-economic University, Moscow banking Institute, Lipetsk Institute of management and Institute of friendship of peoples of the Caucasus.
