The CEC asked that the senators help in combating registered as a foreign agent

The Central election Commission told the Russian senators to help with the identification of foreign agents seeking to discredit the upcoming elections in September. With this appeal to the Federation Council appealed the CEC member Anton Lopatin, reports TASS on Thursday, July 13.

“We have changed the electoral law. This legislation is designed for decent voter, and you need to understand that it can take advantage of the experts, the agents that work for foreign capital”, — he said at the meeting of the expert group of the Commission of Federation Council for the prevention of interference in the internal Affairs of Russia.

According to a member of the Central election Commission, senators should develop guidelines to identify registered as foreign agents. Lopatin noted that many organizations are not legally foreign NGOs, however, their interests “may be aimed at discrediting the election.”

He also did not rule out the possibility that foreign agents may try to take a human administrator, system operator gas “Vybory”.

On 26 June, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin stated that the influence of foreign States on internal processes in Russia intensified. According to her, this is evidenced by data from the regions.

14 June in the upper house of Parliament created a temporary Commission for the protection of state sovereignty and prevent interference in the internal Affairs of Moscow.

In late may, the state Duma adopted a package of amendments to the electoral law, which, in particular, cancelled absentee certificates.
