The state Duma has allowed to put cyber attacks on the infrastructure of Russia
The state Duma adopted in the third reading the bill on the security of information infrastructure and approved the amendments to the criminal code that allow to send people to prison for cyber attacks on critical infrastructure Russian infrastructure.
Developed by the FSB and the government submitted the bill requires the establishment of a state system for countering cyber-attacks on government agencies, banks, enterprises, important communications centers and entire sectors of the economy such as energy, transport and defense industry.
The full name of the new system is a State system of detection, prevention and elimination of consequences of computer attacks (Gossipy).
Goscope already working — so, it was connected contractors of the recently held Confederations Cup in football. But the rules on mandatory connection to the system of constituent entities of critical infrastructure (SKI) is still not there.
The bill also obliges the subjects of the critical infrastructure to comply with the requirements of state security, to inform Gossipy about cyber attacks and to let their objects of security personnel.
