Putin venerated the relics of Valaam

President Vladimir Putin visited Valaam, an island in the Northern part of lake Ladoga, on the day of the memory of the founders of the Valaam monastery. It is reported by TASS on Tuesday, July 11.

The head of state at the Church was met by the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill. Putin venerated the relics of St. Sergius and St. Herman’s and put a candle at the icon of the Mother of God.
