Putin noted the intensification of economic ties with France

Economic ties between Russia and France aktiviziruyutsya. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, his words on Saturday, July 8, reports TASS.

“Despite all the difficulties, aktiviziruyutsya economic ties, growing bilateral trade,” the Russian leader said, noting that in the first quarter of 2017, the trade turnover grew by almost 24 percent. He stressed that both leaders are counting on the active work of the Russian-French Council for economic, financial, industrial and trade issues. During the conversation the Russian President also pointed to the fact that everything that Moscow and Paris have agreed during Putin’s visit to the French capital in may, is performed.

The talks between Putin and Macron in Paris took place on may 29 and lasted almost three hours. According to their results, the Russian leader said that sanctions against Russia will not help to solve the internal conflict in Ukraine, and urged the French media to fight for the abolition of all restrictions in the global economy. In addition, Putin invited his French colleague to visit the Russian capital with a long visit.
