In Vladivostok in mid-July will begin testing electronic visas

VLADIVOSTOK, 6 Jul – RIA Novosti. Test operation of checkpoints on electronic visas in Vladivostok will start in mid-July, according to the Russian Ministry.

The President of Russia in March signed a law on simplified visa regime in several far Eastern regions of Russia. Electronic visa will operate for 30 days from the date of its registration with the permitted duration of stay in Russia up to eight days. To obtain the visa should fill in a form on a special website not later than four days prior to entry. In the Free port of Vladivostok simplified visa regime will work on 1 August.

“First and foremost, under the new scheme will earn the first two checkpoints in Vladivostok. E-visa will come through the sea checkpoint in Vladivostok and Knevichi airport via. Test will help understand how to work this mechanism in practice”, — said the Deputy head of the Ministry Pavel Volkov.

According to him, the tests and the beginning of the first checkpoints since August will ensure that the mechanism will be worked out to the third Eastern economic forum, which will be held in Vladivostok in September.

To use a simplified regime will be able Brunei, India, China, Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, Algeria, Bahrain, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Turkey.
