Abe was sympathetic to the long wait of meeting with Putin

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said he was sympathetic to the fact that he had to wait for the meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin due to protracted talks with the us leader Donald trump. His words on Friday, July 7, RIA Novosti reported.

“Even though I had to wait for today’s meeting, I have repeatedly said that dealing with such issues as Ukraine, Syria, North Korea, and other global issues require a meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States,” he said.

Putin previously apologized to the head of the Japanese government over the protracted negotiations on its own behalf and on behalf of the owner of the White house.

Earlier Friday it was reported that the first negotiations of Vladimir Putin and Donald trump lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes. It is twice more than expected by the Russian side in Putin’s meeting schedule was allotted about an hour.

Most of the negotiations took place behind closed doors. Subsequently, the Russian leader said that he discussed with his American counterpart the situation in Syria, the conflict in Ukraine and the fight against cybercrime.
