In the suburbs late season mushrooms

Cold summer was the reason for the late start of the mushroom season in the Moscow region, reported on the website of the regional government on Wednesday, 5 July.

“Usually the beginning of a mushroom season in the suburbs is at the end of the second decade of July, and the peak on the second or third week of August. This year the summer is cold, the earth does not have time to warm up, so expect the beginning of mushroom season a bit later”, — said the press service of the forestry Committee of the region.

It is noted that now in the forests around Moscow, you can find chanterelles and boletus.

Earlier Wednesday, the Ministry of ecology and nature management of the Moscow region reported that the rainy summer is good for a number of rare plant species in the Moscow region. “Plants have grown large, healthy, flowering is magnificent and quite long,” — said the Minister of ecology of the region Alexander Kogan.

On 14 June the head of Committee of a forestry of region Ivan Advisers said that the harvest of mushrooms in the Moscow region in 2017 may exceed the indicators of last year due to the wet and cool weather.
