Kislyak and Shannon discussed the upcoming meeting of Putin and trump

The Russian Ambassador in Washington Sergey Kislyak and US under Secretary of state Thomas Shannon on Monday, July 3, discussed the forthcoming meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and us leader Donald trump. This is stated in the statement published on the website of the US state Department.

It is also indicated that the parties discussed the issues raised in discussions between the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson.

In addition, the meeting discussed the meeting between Shannon and the Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Ryabkov, as well as the ongoing efforts to resolve issues of mutual interest in relations between Moscow and Washington.

Earlier on Monday, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said that Vladimir Putin and Donald trump will discuss on the sidelines of the summit of “Big twenty” in Hamburg bilateral relations and international problems.

At the end of last month, Ushakov reiterated that the agreement on the meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States on the sidelines of the summit reached, however, the format of negotiations has not been determined.

The G20 summit will be held in Hamburg on 7-8 July.
