The Federation Council has appointed Wednesday the new chief military Prosecutor of Russia, they became the Prosecutor of Buryatiya Valery Petrov.
The post of chief military Prosecutor became vacant in April after the retirement on superannuation Sergei Fridinsky.
According to the Constitution of the Russian Federation in charge of the upper chamber are such personnel matters as appointment and dismissal of the Prosecutor General and his deputies, including the chief military Prosecutor.
