The Andy Warhol self-portrait sold at auction for £6 million

Self-portrait of Andy Warhol was sold at Sotheby’s auction in London for £6 million ($7.7 million). The work of this American artist has become one of the main lot at the evening auction of works of art.

The auction was also sold two joint work of Andy Warhol and American graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. The first picture is called “Sweet Pungent” was sold for £4.43 million the Second collaboration of artists, 1985, entitled “New Flame” were valued at £2.4 million.

The most expensive lot of the auction was written in 1983, an unnamed painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat, sold for £6.5 million
