Anders Breivik has filed a complaint against the Norwegian state to the ECHR

OSLO, June 29. /TASS/. Terrorist Anders Breivik has filed a complaint with the European court of human rights (ECHR), insisting that the prison violated his rights.

About it the lawyer of a convicted killer by øystein Storvik reported on Thursday, Norwegian broadcasting company.

The complaint is that we object to the extreme isolation of the prisoner that had been going on for a long time.By øystein Storvik the lawyer of Anders Breivik

According to him, Breivik’s psychological state deteriorates more and more, as his contact with the outside world tightly restricted. The main goal of the terrorist is to achieve for itself the right to communicate with other prisoners, which he never had from the moment of admission to prison in the summer of 2011.

In 2016, the District Oslo court partially satisfied the claim of Breivik against Norwegian state, ruling that in relation to the terrorist violated article 3 of the European Convention for the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms (prohibition of torture and degrading treatment). However, in March this year, the Norwegian court of Appeal took the side of the Ministry of public security of the Kingdom, recognizing that the conditions of detention of a terrorist in solitary confinement are a violation of human rights.

Breivik and his lawyers disagreed with this decision and announced its intention to challenge it in the Supreme court of Norway Supreme court. On 9 June it became known that he refused to consider the appeal of Breivik, after which the complaint was filed to the ECHR.

22 July 2011 Breivik detonated a powerful explosive device planted at one of the government buildings in Oslo, resulting in eight people died and dozens were injured. The same day he committed the massacre on the island of Utoya, killing 69 and injuring 66 people.
