The Federation Council has opposed supplies to Ukraine of weapons of any kind

Moscow strongly opposed the supply of any weapons to Ukraine, said first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security Franz Klintsevich, commenting on the statement by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko about the agreement with Washington. The Senator’s words leads RIA Novosti on Monday, June 26.

He noted that the concept of “defensive weapons” is very relative. In addition, in his opinion, the supplies can be perceived by the Kiev authorities “as proof of the correctness of its course in the Donbass, which further destabilizie the situation.”

June 25, Petro Poroshenko told reporters that between Kiev and Washington has almost agreed the issue of the supply of defensive weapons. The signing of the agreement is expected in the next 2-3 months, said the Ukrainian President. It on supplies to Ukraine lethal weapons.
