Media: British law left in the country for more than 40 terrorists
MOSCOW, 25 Jun — RIA Novosti. More than 40 foreign terrorists are left in the UK because of the laws on the protection of human rights, reports the Telegraph citing an unpublished report of the Ministry of internal Affairs of the country.
According to the publication, the British government is faced with “an insurmountable problem when the deportation threat of jihadists, which leads to a series of terrorist attacks in the UK inspired by the IG*”.
The report, commissioned by Prime Minister Theresa may says Britain adopted the strategy for the expulsion of potential terrorists, which was called “Deportation with assurances”.
According to this doctrine, Britain may deport terror suspects only if guarantee that they will not be subjected to torture and ill-treatment in countries of origin.
Reportedly, the British courts “have successfully prevented the deportation of foreigners suspected of terrorism to their countries of origin”, using the existing doctrine, based on the laws on the protection of human rights.
“However, it seems that it (the doctrine) did not take place, allowing the terrorists to remain in the United Kingdom” — the newspaper concludes.
Over the past few months in Britain, there were several attacks. On the evening of 3 June, the car crashed into a crowd on London bridge, after which three armed terrorists climbed out of the car and attacked passers-by. The terrorists were killed by police. Seven people were killed.
In Manchester on may 22 bombing occurred during a concert by American singer Ariana Grande. Undermining was carried out by a suicide bomber, Salman Abedi. Killed 22 people, including 12 children.
