The Russian side expects that the next meeting of the Council NATO – Russia (NRC) will be held in July, told Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Alexei Meshkov.
However, the diplomat admitted that the exact date of the meeting yet. Meshkov said that the parties will try to arrange a meeting during the summer holidays, i.e. in July.
We will remind that the previous meeting of Council held on 30 March. During the whole of last year, the NRC met only three times. Thus before the beginning of the conflict in the East of Ukraine, the Council has worked on a regular basis, going several times a month.
After the annexation of Crimea to Russia, NATO stopped cooperation with Russia, maintaining only the format of the Council.
