Rospotrebnadzor warns of anthrax outbreaks in India and Pakistan

MOSCOW, June 23 — RIA Novosti. Experts from the Rospotrebnadzor pay attention to the Russian tourists on the outbreak of anthrax in India, Bangladesh and Pakistan, and asked to consider this information when planning trips, reported on the Agency’s website.

According to the Agency, referencing colleagues from Bangladesh, the Republic recorded one death of a child and three adults admitted to hospital with suspected anthrax after consuming meat of infected animal. Now necessary tests directed on research.

Only since the end of may the total number of cases of anthrax in Bangladesh has reached 25.

In addition, there is information about the death on 10 June from anthrax of livestock in Pakistan. Now in the flash of the veterinary service carried out the vaccination and treatment of animals to prevent the spread of the outbreak. Similar data on the possible anthrax there are in India, Odisha. It is about seven cases, one of them hospitalized. Now experts establish a precise diagnosis.
