The Kremlin has not received a resignation letter from the Governor of Kemerovo region Aman Tuleev. This was stated press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday, June 20, the correspondent “reports Tapes.ru”.
“While on this account, any information I do not have”, — said Peskov. He also reported that conversations about the state of health of the head of region was not conducted.
Earlier on Tuesday the newspaper “Kommersant” with reference to sources wrote that the money was the second time in a month extended leave of absence due to illness. The interlocutor of the edition noted that he wants to stay on a post of the Governor 20 years — until July 1 of this year.
On June 19, the press service of the Kemerovo regional administration said that the head of the region for a certain period of time delayed in the vacation, which began on may 22. The rumors of the serious illness of Aman Tuleyev there denied.
In early March a number of media citing sources reported that Kemerovo Governor hospitalized. According to one version, he had to install an artificial heart valve. In a press-service of the head of the region refuted all the rumors.
Tuleyev for the first time topped the Kemerovo region in 1997. In September 2015 he was elected head of the region for the fifth time, gaining more than 96 percent of the votes. It is the oldest Russian Governor.
