“Along the Piterskaya”, “There is only a moment”, “How young we were”, “Where the childhood leaves” and other Russian favorite songs performed on Saturday in the centre of the Cuban capital in one of the ceremonial halls of the former presidential Palace, now Museum of the revolution.

A distinctive feature of the concert, which was held on the occasion of Russia Day, officially celebrated a few days ago – June 12, was that were it not Russian, and Cuban. Invited to the event were living in Cuba Russian compatriots.

All artists – laureates held on Liberty island last year, the first National contest of Russian songs. They named their concert “musical greetings on the occasion of the national holiday of the Russian”.

“None of those who stood on the stage, does not know Russian language, but all of them, I think, managed to perceive the main thing – the Russian soul”, – said the member of the coordination Council of Russian compatriots in Cuba Tatiana maksimenkova, participated in the organization of the concert.

With her words it was impossible not to agree, after hearing with great enthusiasm and almost without an accent sung by young artists. Each new room, the audience greeted with applause.

We wanted to demonstrate the collective image of the Russian woman, which, as you know, “the horse at full tilt will stop, into a burning log hut will enter”.
