A court in Italy has banned restaurants lobster to cause pain

“Lobster pain” — decided the Italian court, after which forbade restaurants to keep these sea crawfish in the ice before cooking.

First, the fate and health of the lobsters have attended animal rights activists from Florence, who filed a lawsuit to one of the local restaurateurs, who kept the lobsters in an ice bound.

Restaurateur failed to win the trial: the judge decided to make in relation to the owner of the institution €2000 and €3000 as litigation costs. “The case of the lobster” has acquired a national scale, reports The Telegraph.

“Although this cooking method may be considered legal because it is widely used, the suffering caused by the maintenance of lobsters before cooking, can’t be justified this way”, — stated in the decree.

The court offered to store crustaceans in a “more respectful manner.” For example, in saturated oxygen tanks with water at room temperature.

The court’s decision cannot be considered a law that would spread to all the Italian regions.
