Sergey Kovalev, ward lost by TKO

Boxer light heavyweight, former world champion of WBA (Super), WBO and IBF Sergey Kovalev lost the fight to American Andre ward. The Russians could not take revenge, reports CBSSports.

During the fight, Kovalev was dealt more blows than his opponent, but by the seventh round, lost power, and this benefited the ward. After the eighth round, the American has driven Russians into a corner, Kovalev ducked in attempt to Dodge the flurry of punches and the referee stopped the fight.

In the career of the ward is now 32 wins (16 by knockout) and zero defeats. Kovalev poterepel second defeat at 30 victories (26 by knockout).

Their first bout, held in November of 2016, was named best of the year by the International Boxing Federation (IBF). Then Kovalev lost to the American by unanimous decision (113:114) and lost all three championship belts. Before the rematch, the head of the promotion company “World of Boxing” Andrey Ryabinsky suggested that the first meeting Kovalev and ward “was the most vile and stydobischa in the history of Boxing.”
