Continued: the Department of state explained the lack of congratulations with the Day of Russia
USA for the first time in 25 years, sent to the Russian Embassy the Day of Russia. About the Agency RIA Novosti said the representative of the diplomatic mission Nikolay Lakhonin.
“We can confirm that from the American side is not received the Day of Russia. Is the first time in our memory. Draw your own conclusions,” said Lakhonin.
The announcement came simultaneously with the statement of the Secretary of state’s Rex Tillerson, that the Russian-us relations are at a record low, and continue to deteriorate.
The day of Russia celebrated on June 12 for the fifteenth time. Ten years before that it existed as the Day of adoption of Declaration on state sovereignty of the Russian Federation (in the people — the independence Day). The document on the establishment of the holiday was adopted at the first Congress of people’s deputies in 1990. On 12 June, Russia declared a day off.
In the capital in the festive events and mass festivities was attended by approximately 2.5 million people.
Russia day is celebrated in the regions. In Crimea is also passed festivities — residents of Simferopol took to the streets in national costumes and with musical instruments. In Sevastopol held a “military ball”, which was attended by about 200 couples.
