The Department of state explained the lack of congratulations with the Day of Russia

The U.S. state Department explained the lack of traditional greetings on the Day of Russia. As explained by the Agency TASS in the press service of the us guardian, the administration of Donald trump adopted a “new approach where formal greetings are transmitted via the U.S. Embassy” in the respective capitals.

“We no longer distribute greetings as press releases, stated in the state Department. We will place them on the website. Officially they are awarded through our Embassy”.

On 13 June, the representative of the Russian Embassy in the United States Nikolai Lakhonin told the RIA Novosti news Agency that Washington is not the first time transferred to the diplomatic mission congratulations with the national holiday.

The announcement sounded almost simultaneously with the statement of the Secretary of state’s Rex Tillerson, that the Russian-us relations are at a record low, and continue to deteriorate.
