The West needs the dialogue with Russia, but it is also important and “strong deterrence”, said at a press conference the Romanian President Klaus Werner Iohannis.
“We need to be very clear, simple and straightforward, if we are talking about Russia or with Russia. I believe that we need a dialogue with Russia, but, on the other hand, we need… a strong deterrence”, he said.
In his opinion, “this combination of deterrence and dialogue — should lead to a solution that is feasible for each party”.
