MPs want to limit the number of animals in the apartment

MOSCOW, 9 Aug — RIA Novosti. The adoption by the state Duma of the law on responsible treatment of animals will entail the introduction of sub-decree defining the maximum number of animals which people will be able to keep your dwelling, reported RIA Novosti the Chairman of the Duma Committee on ecology and environmental protection Vladimir Panov.

The bill on responsible treatment of animals was passed by the state Duma in the first reading back in 2011. Earlier, the head of the state Duma Committee on ecology and environmental protection Olga Timofeeva said that the Committee has finished reception of amendments to the draft law, now he is preparing for the second reading, scheduled for June 14.

“We have a Bylaw after the adoption of the law, the rules of animal welfare that will need to develop a veterinary service. Must be animal mounted on standard floor area, which is necessary for normal conditions and which will determine the maximum number of animals a person can keep in their dwelling,” — said Panov.

According to him, this rule would provide appropriate conditions of detention of the animal, and would prevent conflicts between residents, “when one dwelling is nechitaeva the number of cats or someone else, consequently it leads to violation of the rights of other residents.”

The amendments introduced the licensing of circuses, zoos, aquariums, prohibited their mobile formats, and prescribes more stringent requirements for Pets.
