The Kurds liberated the Palace of Harun al-Rashid in raqqa

Kurdish self-defense forces stormed into Western districts of Raqqa and took the ruins of the Palace of Harun al-Rashid — a medieval ruler mentioned in the series of fairy tales “Thousand and one nights”.

The Kurdish News Agency ARA News also reported the complete occupation of al-Mashlab in the Eastern part of Raqqa. Thus, the attack on the positions of militants in the city is from two directions, despite the attempts of terrorists to organize defensive positions.

2014 raqqa was considered the de facto capital of the self-proclaimed “Islamic state”. After Kurdish came to the city two months ago, reports surfaced that the families of militants began to evacuate towards the city of Deir ez-Zor in the South-East of Syria.
